Ok i picked up a 1989 hatch last week with the sr20 and i test drove it then the pedal slowly started getting lower to the floor until the car wouldnt go into gear anymore. the guy bled the cylinder and it worked but i still have to pick up the pedal with my other foot. now he said he replaced the master, so iam driving on the freeway and ill get on it you will hear the turbo spool up to 4k and then drop to 3500 and start to pull, i figured ok clutch slip. then i get off the freeway and the thing slips like crazy i can barely drive it, so its now in front of my house while i drive my other car. what could the issue be, clutch adjustemnt? slave cylinder? or new clutch, if new clutch what do you recommend i will be modding it more like around the 250-300 whp range, and what do you think about the fidanaza flywheel, so i know this is a lot to answer but i would love to have all them answered, also how exactly do you adjust hte clutch pedal and also check the slave cylinder. ima change the clutch and fly sometime next week if anyone is willing to help ill be glad to buy some dinner.also my turbo timer will got all the way up to 9 mins on the freeway driving in the 3k range for 20 mins. so is that also normal.

thanks,Josh

If the pedal sinks to the floor you have a problem with clutch hydraulic leak, most likely slave, since the master is new. Most would have replaced both at the same time. You can inspect the slave (on the passenger side of the transmission bell housing) looking under the rubber dust cover for a leak. The master will leak onto the driver's side floorboard.

Slave cylinders are hecka cheap. Put a new one in, bleed, adjust, and dump that connector box. If the clutch still slips get ready to replace it.

There is an extra inline dampening box close to the slave cylinder, with a large circle of extra pipe on it, between the master and the slave. It's pretty much useless, and can get crapped up causing hydraulics to malfunction. Most guys take it out, and reconnect the two remaining lines with a female-female connector.

There are some recent threads posted with diagrams showing the system. I'll send you a file showing the stuff.
