clutch pedal creaking like crazy!

well my clutch pedal started creaking. its as the spring is binding up on something. i had changed the clutch pedal bushings so its definitly not from that because there is no free play in the pedal assembly. i also tried spraying the whole thing down with wd-40 and its squeeking worse!!! i know its a pretty common problem. so what are you solutions

I use to have the same problem. I sparyed some thick high temp lube stuff I found in my garage on it. I get a screak every now and again. I don't notice it anymore.

they have thick hi temp lube that comes in a can? hmmm i better go look for it tom at a auto store.

Go to any auto parts store and get a spray can of stuff called White Lithium Grease. I had the same problem and it fixed it the first time. It is used for squeaky hinges and such, good luck.Josh

I've also had the problem in my s14. I fixed a little bushing and It was gone for about 6months. Now its BACK! I'm gonna have to try some of those suggestions also.

Same problem in my S13, but I'll be of no help seeing as I have tried some of the suggestions and have had no luck. When someone finally gets a definate solution let me know!

Hmm I've never heard of that problem before. Is it really that common on the 240's?

the white litium grease cures it, use alot

i just sprayed it on, and it didn't completely go away. i used that white lithium grease that comes in a can. but i can't get a good spray on the can is upside down. oh wellz i'll try again tomorrow.

i have the same problem, not as bad tho. thank god my exhaust pretty much drowns out every noise. i hate that thing.

It will come and go depending on the weather conditions, the warmer the more it squeals. Yes lubing will help, and lithium is the way to go. Just dont worry about it too much, it will stop after a while.

i had the same problem. i sprayed my clutch pedel bushings and stuff down. I found the problem to be my throwout bearing and clutch fork assembly very dry. I just pealed back the boot onthe side of my trnsmission and sprayed white lithium in there. Curred.
