Clutch pedal bad?

driving a 95 240sx. When i first bought the car the clutch pedal didn't come all the way back up, so i adjusted the nut behind the pedal on the master cylinder shaft. now few months later its doing it again. Check the master and slave cylinders both look dry and fine.

however when i went to check the slave i noticed the fork that the slave's rod pushes on is leaking (fork leakin not slave). some type of liquid is coming out of the rubber thing the fork goes thru into the transmission. I'm thinking this is the cuprit.

make sure its not clutch fluid, as it can run along surfaces. if it is indeed coming out of the rubber thing. make sure the system is bleed throughouly too.

if u r definitely sure it's not brake fluid leaking out of the slave cyl (u peeled that wittle dust boot on the slave & checked?)

the only other fluid leak would be gear oil. Captain Obvious says to check the level of the gear oil & hope that the input shaft seal isn't leaking oil into your clutch assembly.

finally, my clutch pedal went bad on me d/t an internal leak of the master cyl. so that may be your case as well.

from my quick glance (car wasn't raise that high) at the slave there seem to be no leak, but i will do a closer inspection. will also mess around with the other rubber boot. Going to check transmission fluid level as well, gotta change it anyway. also my rubber boot on the lever arm was not in its normal position like on my buddies s14.

internal leak at the master? that would suck
