After my engine/trans swap my clutch won't engage....I used all the parts except the peice that is between the master and the flex line.....blockish looking thing with a bleeder screw and the lines go to it. How important is this and what's it called?? How important is it's mounting as far as height, level(obviously bleeder screw up)???

did u bleed the sytem. i used a vacume bleeder and it took me almost an hr to rid of all bubbles. As for that box...yea ur gonna need that. Im not sure what it does exactly but why did u remove it? Just got antsy? I know i bled my system from that box and at the slav cyl. good luck.~Sam

you can get rid of the whole box it just makes the clutch softer. you can just run a line so basically the mastercylinder runs straight to the slave cylinder. i wouldnt but you need to probably just bleed it.

yeah i took off the little box on mine. no problems. supposidly it's a pain in the nuts to bleed if you still have the little box

I put a 2.3L Ford Engine in my car and the Ford 5 Speed so I had to convert the cable clutch to Hydo. I tried to go an "easy" way by eliminating the lil box but the pedal was too soft. I put it back in, bled it at the lines and it works great! I was bootin' around the parking lot at work and it felt good so I went inside and started doing the Emission Test and ran outta gas half way through so I'll hafta try it again another day.

Interesting, you should post more info about your swap in 240 Gen.
