Clutch Or transmission Problems

I bought a 91 NX with a ga16de swap from a 95 and love the little thing more then I thought I could having grown up around big blocks my whole life.

Anyway the problem arose yesterday when I was on my way home. I went to pull away from a set of lights and stalled it for the first time. When I managed to get it to pulll out of the intersection I have a really high pitched scraping noise while the clutch is engaged. My thoughts where maybe a spring came lose clutch has been bad and I needed another 2 weeks to get the cash for the ACT i wanted. It has also been grinding into 2nd if it wasn't double clutched.

Could it even be the input shaft bearing?? there's no noise in netural only under a load and it's in all gears.

Could just be because of how worn the clutch is (that's what I assume you meant by it being bad anyway).

well it's beyond worn ... Taught the wife to drive on it. And believe it or not it was a stock clutch holding 178 ft-lbs ... so I'm not really surprized or dissapointed ... just glad to hear it shouldn't be my transmission !!

that can't be the trans. drop the trans and take pictures of the clutch. i want to see how it looks

LoL Every time I read this fourm i you guys make me happy telling me it's my clutch .. however no money untill next week, so I'm going to order my clutch then. I'll take pics of it once it comes out. **Shudders** it's going to be ulgy I'm sure. However when trying to move it onto the ramps today I noticed I have no more 5th or reverse ... Is this a bad sign or could it be because I'm sure the pressure plate is destroyed?

I just want my vtec killer back
