Something happened to either my clutch and/or transmission about a hour ago.

1996 KA in a 1972 510. The engine is all stock except for exhaust and intake.

Here's the story:

I backed out of my parking spot everything as normal. I drove through the apartment in first gear with no problems. As I pull out of the apartment in first gear I drive off and shift to second and it felt like it didnt quite get into gear. I disengage the clutch and slide it back into second and still nothing.

So here is how it sits now:The shifter can move around, feels like it is going in and out of gear, don't know for sure, without using the clutch. I start the car, disengage the clutch, put it into gear, let the clutch out, and nothing...

The clutch still has strong pedal pressure and nothing fell off and I did not see any fluid that dripped out except for a couple drops that dropped inside on the floor by the pedal.

Its not the hydraulic clutch hose, I just replaced that.

Anyone have any idea? I was thinking it is transmission related and not clutch related since the pedal still maintains pressure, but I am not a clutch expert.

Thanks in advance...

well for one find out if your shifter is ok, check to see if it's in the trany properly. then look under your car and make sure you clutch fork is moven' when you press the pedle in.
