Hi guys, new to the nissan community.I just picked up a 92 ka24de. and already having some probs with it. The problem is that when i shift gears, the car kinda revs and then moves slowly. I don't really know how to explain it.

It's like this.

Depress Clutch -> first gear -> let go clutch -> then accelerate. But then the engine revs when i'm accelerating and then the car slowly moves. Same prob for 2nd, 3rd, etc.

Keep in mind that I already changed the Clutch, Throwout bearing, master and slave cylinder. Spent so much money! My mech says that it could be my transmission? The input shaft perhaps?

Please help, thanks in advanced.

sounds likie the clutch is slipping. did you resurface or scuff the flywheel b4 install? was the flyweel glazed/warped? maybe you may need to adjust your clutch pedal/rod. good luck

yeah man if your feeling slipping there really isnt much room for that other then in the clutch...Every thing else is just kinda gear sets, and gears pretty much either turn or brake, but its not gonna slip.

was the problem still there right after the clutch job? did you follow proper break in on the clutch? Did you change the rear main seal, was there any oil inside the bellhouseing when the clutch was changed, and is it possible the seal is broken and "oiling" your clutches causeing them to slip?

I've been having simular problems with my car. Except that it slips only at high RPMS but the clutch feels fine and everything in the lower RPMS. Is this also most likely a clutch problem?

yeah there is more torque at higher RPMs so its likely just starting to slip...

Sounds like a clutch just get an aftermarket one right away if you plan on modding the car at all i made the mistake of replacing the motor and everything putting on the t3t4 turbo and guess what stock clutch hopefully it will hold up for at least a month

Check the throwout bearing fork, if you installed it incorrectly the TB keeps pressing the pressure plate and preventing full clamping force.

OR

Could be that the slave cylinder is intalled incorrectly and keep some pressure ont he fork

OR

Clutch disk installed incorrectly

OR

Flywheel/cluthc disk contaminated with oil

Either of these symptoms you nned to remove the transmission and inspect.Does it smell like burnt clutch?
