I installed a new clutch into my car. I installed the bellhousing by using bolts to tighten it in. Basically forcing the transmission onto the block. (I think this may be the problem). Now when starting the car, I cannot shift into any gear. I can shift into any gear with the engine off. All fluid/slave cylinder/master cylinder is fine. Could this be a pressure plate or clutch problem. Is there any easier way to install the transmission (sliding it in) when doing a clutch job?

I got an excedy "oem" replacement clutch kit off of ebay put it in the car and the car would do the same thing so i looked at the 2 pressure plates, disc, ect. and the only thing that matched up was the disc....I did drive the car 200 mi. or so like that it just takes some force lol. i need a transmission so it didn't really matter....and the girl i went drove 200 mi for turned out to be an insane lunatic from CHENDO VALLEY!
