I'm buying a 240, and the guy tells me that the clutch isn't engaging (grabbing) until the pedal is almost all the way out. He says it needs a new clutch, but I figured I'd ask and see if anyone had a different idea.

Lol good enough. Figured I'd get a second opinion. I'm learning more about clutches, but what in the clutch is going out to cause this? He said it isn't that it's slipping.

If the clutch seems fine besides that it might just need to have the pedal adjusted. Its an easy fix if that is the case.

i agree. the pedal might jsut need to be adjusted. i installed a new clutch to my car and the pedal was all wacked out. i ad to adjust the pedal and then much clutch was out at a midpoint instead of all the way out.
