Hi All
I finally got my 240 on the road yesterday and it's running great but I've got a noise in my clutch.
If I press the clutch about 3/4 of the way to the floor everything is great, The transmission shifts, no clunks, no problems. The car will idle in gear at this stage without pulling so I believe that the cutch is full dis-engaged.
I can shift into gear and the clutch engages before I'm all the way up and there is no slippage and the car runs great in all gears.
BUT
If I push the clutch pedal all the way to the floor with the engine running I hear a noise, sort of like grinding. I learned quickly not to go all the way to the floor but it still needs to be addressed, I can't drive forever like this.
It's got a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch and pressure plate and a Fidenza aluminum flywheel so it's far from stock.
The lines are all well bled, the master and slave are new (replaced during rebuild). I have full slave pin travel when the clutch pedal is depressed.
Is this just a clutch pedal adjustment that I need to make? I wonder if I'm pushing the pressure plate so far in the center that it's interfering with the clutch plate and/or flywheel.
Can I adjust the pedal so that it doesn't engage until the pedal is lower so that it hits the floor before the grinding noise starts?
