Clutch noise?

Ok. I have a couple of symptoms coming from my car:

1) When I shift into 3rd HARD (sometimes) it makes a noise. Not really a gear grinding, but something else. And this has only occured AFTER installing a shoft shifter.

2) When in reverse and the clutch depressed, I hear a noise like something is still spinning, trying to catch. I'm thinking pilot bearing on that.

Anyone had these problems?
