First off I have a 1993 Nissan 240SX Fastback,I took a trip to Mexico for a week and when I came back my Clutch felt very very light and sticky, so I checked the reservoir and it was bone dry. So I was like WTF and filled it back up with DOT 3 Brake Fluid. Now two weeks later it is bone dry again, I filled it up again and now I know I have a leak in the Clutch Master Cylinder.

Now the questions, is my Clutch Master Cylinder toast or is it reparable? Also If I have to replace the Clutch Master Cylinder how hard would it be?

easy EASY to replace, hardest part is bleeding, and thats easy as anything too. most times, it is cheaper/easier just to replace the cylinder, although some people do rebuild them.

yeah, and do a search for clutch damper box or something like that. you want to get rid of that thing.

I just picked up a new master cylinder and it was only $20. Definatly cheap and hassle free to buy a new one.

Ok, I went down to Nissan to have it checked out and its both the Clutch Master Cylinder and the Slave Cylinder. It will cost $405.00 in parts and labor to install and they will have to have my car for a week. What should I do? Is there a walkthrough for this, or can one of you tell me how to do it because I really don't have $405.00. I've already searched but couldn't find any how-tos.

easy.mastery cyl is two bolts and the pushrod. the pushrod has a clevis pin from the clutch pedal. also the clutch line is threaded in to the master.

the slave cyl is two more bolts and the hose. at the same time you want to remove or bypass the black damper box by the slave cyl.
