Ok one more problem to work out...hopefully this is my last one. I have driven my car before since the swap and the clutch has allways made this occasional grinding noise when I have it pushed to the floor. It is very random how it does it but it seems more proned to doing this when the tryanny is in reverse. Would bleeding the system do me anygood? I did have to do the clutch when I did the swap because it came with a auto and I had to throw a manual transmission on. I guess I could have got a little air in the system. Thanks again in advance guys!

Did you replace the T/O bearing?

So this grinding noise should be your last problem huh, supposedly?

Well, it sounds like that there is a loose spring in your transmission and maybe your throw out bearing needs replacement. That SHOULD help reduce the grinding noise, if not eliminate it. Grinding noise like this also indicates a bad transmission. If it doesn't shift too bad and isn't grinding, you shouldn't have to worry about it too much.

Also, after you drive your car, do you smell something like the clutch burning? If there is air in the hydraulic system, chance is that your clutch isn't disengaged fully and causes the clutch to rub the flywheel, making the grinding noise. But that is very unlikely.

Have you replaced your clutch?

I remeber you had a dented oil pan and your valvetrain was running dry and you ended up damaging your engine. How did that go? Got that fixed yet? What happened?

So you have also flooded your engine and fixed it by reconnecting your SMIC, how did that go as well? Did you fix it?

I found a complete head and cams...As for the transmission I am useing a stock (but it good shape) SR clutch and flywheel. I also replacde the T/O bearing.. I'm going to try bleeding it tomorrow and see if that helps

My friends dad seems to think that it is the pilot bearing making the noise. My engine came with a auto transmission bolted to it and I am now using a manual. He thinks that we didn't even put the pilot bearing in because he says that auto's don't have a pilot bearing. well...I guess we will find out when we pull the transmission
