I did a local drift event this past weekend and clutch kicked 800x more than I usually do. I used to practice braking drift as my main initiator, but this track was too slow for that. Anyhoo, just wanted to let everyone know that I improved more than I ever have before...by the end of the day, I was hitting almost every turn exactly how I wanted to. I'm definitley going to use this technique more often.

On a side note, I had a huge brain fart...I got 'confused' in the middle of one run and I clutch kicked and pulled the e-brake at the same time. I had to slap myself in the back of the head for that one. I felt like this guy-->

Yeah, my car understeers like a mofo, I didn't wanna try clutch kicking cause I was afraid the rpm's would go to high and my engine's about had it as it is ! But maybe I'll try, blow the engine, and get a ca

I think clutch kicking is the easiest way to initiate the drift unless the track doesn't allow it, as in its not slow enough to clutch kick it out.

Get a good clutch. Its not that bad on the engine if you maintain it. I personally like to use the ebrake because my car understeers horrible too.

The only time my ebrake works is in the rain. Or if I'm completely stopped then it will hold. Only time I use e-brake is empty lot and I just pull it just to spin in circles.
