Alright, this all started a really long time ago.. when I did my auto-stick conversion. My clutch released really high off the ground and seemed to slip if i got on it a lil too much. I eventually rebuild my hydraulics thinkin they were the culprit. no luck. I just recently just put in a ****ty auto zone clutch( I have the same type in my integra and it runs well for a stock car), anyway same problem. soft clutch, with high release.

I just installed a new clutch MC/SC and.. a one piece SS line to avoid all the bull**** of another leakage point. I used a speed bleeder and a vacuum pump and the old fashion pump pedal bleeding technique and nothing seems to be working. I didn't regrind my flywheel(my bad) but would that be the reason that my clutch pedal is releasing really high off the floor and is really soft??Could there be any other solution to this problem???

im sorry but ive never heard of a mc/sc clutch is that a type of aftermarket clutch? if not then thats why its soft because its just a type of oem replacement clutch..and also i dont understand what you mean by the clutch pedal releasing so high off the ground...if you mean its literally too high then you can adjust it to your desired height setting.

MC= Master CylinderSC= Slave CylinderToo high just means that like right before the pedal is completly off the floor. and i did adjust the pedal and it just made it feel like there was more play in the pedal when it was released.

first of all sorry about the mc/sc thing it sounded like you meant it was a company who makes a clutch lol..second of all you did bleed your clutch right? because i have adjust the height of my pedal many times and dont feel like there is play in it..and also the softness just is the oem clutch and maybe partially some air in the system still

if you read the post i bled the system many times using 3 different techniques, old fasshioned pump pedal, open close valve release pedal, using a speedbleeder instead of the stock bleeder, and using a vacuum pump to presurize the system. and remove the air. all three no change in pressure for bettor or worse. there seems to be some play between the pedal and MC and i dont like that i like a nice solid pedal, not nessicerily hard but I like positive engagement. I've ruled out all of the things you have mentioned, I'm looking for other suggestions, i.e leaking coolant on the flywheel, or something like that.

when nissan produced the 240sx they put a damper box in between the front passenger wheel and the slave cylinder for women drivers. this damper box makes for a softer pedal in turn easier to engage for the ladies. Im sure you saw the little black box when you were bleeding your clutch. it has 2 screws on the bottom..what you need to do is basically bypass that damper box and you will feel the difference (stiffer clutch pedal) if you need more info on bypassing it more let me know..but its pretty upfront when you get under there and check it out..let us know if it helped

did you read my first post?? It says that i put in a one piece SS line to avoid aggrivation. the things that are BRAND NEW are: Clutch, Pressure Plate, TO Bearing, MC, SC, and SS Braided One piece line.

I've done that on more than one occasion, I'm pretty sure my hydraulics isn't the problem. I'm so pissed off at this car, and i gotta get it down to NOPI in a month, i hope it makes it.
