Been having a hellacious time with my new clutch. Picked it up from the mechanic and couldn't even go and gear. Pumped it up and was able to get home. From there I was informed to bypass the stock dampner. It worked great for about 50miles.Started acting up again. I assumed I just didn't bleed the clutch enough so rebleed it and it was great. Last night had a meet down in Vero. I couldn't even take it out of gear.Every stop I made I had to pump the clutch 10-15 times to go in first, then it was good from there.Anyone else had similar problems? I'm getting a SS clutch line this week. And if that doesn't solve it I'll probably get a new slave. My current is only a yr old.

This is more of a NICO mechanic question but alright...

What color is your brake fluid right now? Are you losing any fluid at all?

It sounds like the front transmission cover is broken. That is the part that the release bearing goes around the snout and slides on. It The one on my SR broke and I was having the same trouble you are describing.

Could be a bad slave or clutch master cylinder, I have been there before.

Fluid is clean. Not losing any.I'm thinking maybe stock clutch line. Fiz was thinking her ebecause RPS 400ftlb clutch. So assumed turbo related problem.

off topic.. but how much stiffer is a .. lets say.. 300ftlb clutch compared to the stock?since the stock is around 130(?) double the stiffness?

Well my clutch was very soft.I mean it was a feather.Don't know why.Because th eprevious 2 clutches i had were average. But my last one was so soft. This one is stiff and you need to have your seat close enough to be able to take it to the floor. After 3 days of driving it feels normal..until i had my clutch problem and couldn't shift at all.

If your not losing any fluid, i bet its your master cylinder. When my (3) went bad(never buy tokico) they all had to be pumped to build up pressure to get into gear. Usually they blow some sort of internal seal, and fluid begins bypassing the seals, thus resulting in not enough pressure. Take it from me, buy directly from nissan for this part, all others i had blew in about 3 months. Courtesy nissan has them pretty cheap. good luck.

read my above post. Ive never had a slave go bad without pissing fluid everywhere, and ive been through about 10 of them. (again, never buy tokico, or autozone on this one, dont let the lifetime waranty fool you)

did you bench bleed the master cylinder? sometimes you can get an air bubble trapped ion the master cylinder, and it WILL not come out until bled properly.
