Clutch issue...need some input from 1jz/2jz_240 swap peeps

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

this is a 1jz swap into a s13 240sx.

so i finally got this thing running properly and all that good stuff. i bled the clutch slave cylinder and had good pressure throughout. however, when trying to put the car into reverse it grinds, but when putting it in 1-2-3-4-5 gears there is no grinding or anything of that sort....just a little bit of pressure/force to get it in gear.

- i have a new r154 slave cylinder- the master cylinder is a factor 240 one (probably 15 years old just like the car & perhaps the culprit)- i have a combonation of hardline off the master cylinder to a stainless braided line going to the slave (no junction box or anything)- it is a heavier clutch (RPS Max 6 puck)

what are your thoughts in alleviating this issue? should i try adjusting the clutch pedal to get it to engage later? rather than when i just move my foot off the pedal at the floor (short engaging period)??

or is there a nice upgraded master cylinder that i could purchase? AND perhaps a stabilizer type of bracket made for the master cylinder as well?

any input would be helpful. thanks,

brett
