Ok I just bought an 02 3.5 SE and the clutch acts weird! When I first get into it in the mornings if I dont let it warm up the clutch will act like it needs to be bleed where it goes to the floor and after driving it and pumping it, it finally goes back to normal. But if i jump on the highway and dont use it for a while it goes back to the floor. But if I let it warm up in the morning for like 5-10 mins when i come out the clutch is 100% and it will be till i shut it off for more then 2 hours and i will have to start process all over again, it feels like it works off of a vaccum or something like that just by the way it acts. Theres got to be someone that knows what the deal is here?

i always warm up my car a good 5-10 min. even if its 90 out.

the only reason i think it feels funny is because when you dont let it warm up, when idling, the rpm's are highger. but i know what your talking about.

except the highway thing

Yeah but theres got to be a fix for this its got to be something dumb like it needs to be bleed or there is a vaccum thats leaking or something like that does anyone no how the clutch system on these cars work? is there a vaccum?? or is it just traditional hydralic with master and slave and maybe it needs to be bleed?

My clutch did this about 6 months ago. It would act like it wouldnt engage until like an inch from the floor-board. UGH! Took it to dealership....$500 later...it worked like new....they had to adjust something if I remember correctly!

You likely need a new clutch master cylinder.
