have been told it could be a bad slave or clutch master cylinder.

well,
sometimes my clutch will give resistence like it should,
other times it won't for the majority of the way down, then the last few inches or so it will give resistence.
it also doesn't come back up by itself when this happens and i have to pull the "dead" pedal up with my foot.
i don't think that really matters but it's just so you guys know that when it stays down there it only comes up to the point of where it starts resisting.
this also makes the engaging point immediately as opposed to being around halfway up when it acts normal.
this also doesn't make it harder for me to shift and the clutch engages just fine.

anyone have any ideas?

My S14 had the same exact problem when I replaced the clutch in it. I had to bring the pedal up with my foot, but it shifted fine. I eventually traded it because it wasn't worth fixing for the S13 hatch I have. He replaced both slave and master from what he told me, and the problem was fixed.

Currently having the same problem. It's not really a big deal for me yet as shifting is still smooth and I still have pressure for 50% of pedal travel.

I just replaced the clutch slave cylinder before my track day yesterday, and I'll be replacing the clutch master soon as well. Should fix it.

Have you bled the system? Also, do you hear squeaks when you press the clutch in?

thanks for the feedback guys.
i might as well replace the clutch master and slave cylinder.
and yea,
it doesnt really affect the driveability of my car,
it's more or less just one less thing about my car that sits in the back of my mind.

and no, i dont hear any squeaking.
