clutch is stuck down

Help me please. I was parking my 04 Z & when I stepped on the clutch it just went down & would not come back up. I check the clutch fluid its fine. what should I do?

This seems to be common... Other people have been complaining about the same thing, but under heavy engine load. Your clutch master cylinder might be shot, and in need of replacement. Check the return spring also since u mentioned fluid levels were normal.

if you have plenty of fluid and did not get any air in the syst then most likely you need a new master, it's a good idea to replace the slave at the same time

Is your Z an 07' if so its the slave cylinder. the throw out bearing and slave are intergrated in one unit and made of cheap plastic. At my dealer we have replaced many with the same symptoms you stated.

So i took my car to Nissan I was told that my slave cylinder & clutch & something else needed to be replaced $1400 so I wanted to get the ACT clutch part#nz1-hdss is this a smart move?

if you plan on modifying the car and voiding the warranty go ahead with the upgrade, if you plan to keep the car relatively stock or value your warranty, stick with the stock replacement
