hey i just dropped a new clutch in my 240. and it slipps alot! i also have new flywheel, pressure plate, throwout bearing, master cylinder, and slave cylinder. i bought the kit for the clutch and did it. everything looks right. got the clutch kit from napa. its been slipping since i put it in. my car is halfway bled. could that cause a problem? cuz when i accelerate the rpms go up to 4500 and about 5 seconds later i feel the car catch up to the speed it should be going. any ideas on it? thanks

don't you need to let the clutch break in before you push it like that?

your clutch should bite right out of the box. break in time is for longevity. you probably have a bad pressure plate, oil on the clutch surface, or your slave is depressing the pressure plate. first try loosening the clutch pedal. if that doesnt work then you most likely have a bad clutch kit. im sure its under warranty and it happens often with napa (and similar) clutch kits. i believe most of them are reman anyways.

did you clean the pressure plate and flywheel before you assembled it with brake clean? the preservative goo/oil will kill the clutch

Either you didn't clean the flywheel and clutch before assembly or you need to adjust the master cylinder. If your old clutch was worn the F out then adjustment could be the issue.
