Sounds like the clutch is a little bit out of adjustment. Almost as if it isn't 100% engaged. Did you do the install yourself, or have it done at a shop?

Whiteg35Bullet:

did your friend use the clutch alignment tool/spindle to ensure the clutch was aligned with the flywheel? If your friend didn't do so, or if he did it wrongly, then the clutch was not aligned with the flywheel properly, and thus Beancooker is right about alignment. The alignment tool is usually a plastic material that has some teeth and aligned with the teeth of the hole in the middle of the clutch. That tool looks insignifacnt but yet very important in ensuring that the clutch is properly aligned with the flywheel.

Far as I know the alignment tool is to get the clutch and flywheel aligned so the transmission shaft slips easily into the slot. I don't think the transmission could be in there and out the clutch be out of "aligmnment."

WhiteG35, is the clutch res. full?

**I believe the clutch res. is full and now that you mention it sometimes the clutch do slips as I shift into gears...guess I need to take it up to the shop before the clutch and flywheel get worn out again...thank.. Driving on a clutch without alignment will the clutch be burnt out quicker (been driving for about 1K-1.5K miles)??
