transmission would be really hard to break, unless you dropped it. Should be real easy if you can get the car up high enough to get the transmission out. And as long as you don't get oil on the clutch disc. And as long as you don't screw the pressure plate bolts back in with an impact wrench. And..... well, you get the idea :)

If your unsure of doing it your self or your not sure what you are doing, get someone to help you or pay to have it done, it usually cost more to get it fixed after it's been screwed up than just to pay for it from the get go.

If you mean aligning the new clutch/pressure plate, nope. There is a special tool you insert into the pilot bearing (bushing?) that has splines to match the clutch disc. Put the disc and basket on loosely, insert the tool, and then tighten down the basket. Then remove the tool, it just pulls out, and you are ready to fit the trans back up to the engine.

I have one for a 91 crx. but that probably wont help. the clutch should come with a little plastic one.

The clutch alignment tool can be found at a good parts store(they carry most all vehicle makes) or at your dealer... if your clutch didn't come with one. You'll also NEED a torque wrench!!
