Can you replace the clutch with the engine in the car? my friend said a rb 240 you cant get to the transmission bolts so you have to pull the engine? I havent had time to figure it out but do you know?

Yes you can replace the clutch with the engine in the car. Take the transmission mount down, pull down on the tail end of the xmission and use a long 3-4 ft extension with a universal jointed atachment to the socket. This should allow you to get the top bolts out.

it is a very much pain in the *** to do a clutch job with the engine still in the car. I had no problem taking off the transmission, but putting it on was a real pain. so i highly recommend taking engine/transmission combo off. i did that to my other rb and it was way less time consuming.
