alright, i got off of work at around 11 last night and it was very cold out (low teens) started up my car and noticed the clutch was engaging kinda slowly which i had noticed before on cold starts in the cold. once i got out onto the highway and started shifting the clutch woulding stick to the floor but when i let off the clutch to engage to the next gear, my foot would come off the pedal while it was near the floor and the pedal would slowly rise the the engaged point. once the engine started to warm up it was back to normal. what do you guys think? maybe some better fluid? i was thinking about getting some of that modul fluid anyways

i'm thinking just vavloline synthetic dot3/4 fluid would be adequate...

side note: very cold this mornin from my trip down to south jersey... shifter felt like it was stuck in honey, till it warmed up ~15-20 min later b4 hitting the highway

another member's suggestion:

DOT 3/4 is interchangeable, with DOT 4 having a higher spec [better] if possible, do not use DOT 3. even if your car specifies it, use DOT 4. DOT 3 is junk.

my personal fav. is Castrol GT LMA [exceeds dot 4 standards, and LMA stands for low mosture absorbation] i can get it in all my local parts stores, it isnt expensive, and when a customer requests quality fluid, thats what i use.

the castrol has a boiling point of 450F dry and 320F wet.

soo, maybe your fluid is "old" <~2 years+> & based on brake fluid's hygroscopic qualities, it has absorbed quite a bit of water... time to change it
