the lemon saga continues, i bought the car a few months ago with the intention of keeping it stock for the witner and then major surgery in spring, but so far ive had to spend nearly a grand on top of the 4 grand i paid for it just to keep it driveable in stock form! ACK! anyway heres my problem.

drove to chicago with a friend to get some pizza, cool, btw no one smiles in chicago, kinda freaky, all was going well til i got back on I 94 eat out of downtown, the freeway was packed, 2nd gear was the best i could do, tried to go into third, noticed it was REALLY hard, so im 350 miles form my house and i my clutch is taking a ****, lovely, so i slam it into gear and go, we finally get moving and its 5th gear all the way back to detroit, getting off of I94 onto Van Dyke i downshift into 3rd for the exit ramp, had to slam it in, i ge ton van dyke and the clutch pedal hits the floor. i try to pull it back up to see if it woudl work, i had to do this all the way from chicago, didnt work this time, it came up but as soon as i touched it itd hit the floor again like spring action, so i drove 12 miles of a street with ligths timed terribly and every half mile without stopping in third gear, not bad...

but what im trying to figure out now is if its the hydraulics or the throw out bearing, i cant get under the car to check anythign out witht he slave, but it doesnt look like its leaking and the master cylinder stil is full of fluid and is not leaking. give me some input, i have 100 mile commutes!

BTW sorry about the long winded story

oh and if anyone was in downtown chicago with a GOLD S14 SE with what looked liek 5zigen exhaust and i think aftermarket wheels, sweet car! sounded beasty...

kinda the same thing happened to me. I was sitting in a parking lot in 1st w/ the clutch down and it just engaged and stalled, i then couldnt shift into any gear, and the clutch would just go to the floor and stay there. no pressure. turns out i blew my slave $15 at autoblown. Why cant you get under your car to check it? it probably doesnt look like its leaking because the boot that goes over the slave "shaft" type thing holds it all in. i climbed under mine and moved the boot and it pissed fluid everywhere. Also, when replacing it i found that my TO bearing or something somehow got behind my fork and i had to do some crazy acrobatics to get it to work right, only to have my bleeder valve snap off when i was tightening it back up. yeah... it was one crappy weekend. so thats my advice, climb under there and move the boot on the slave, if it pisses fluid, you know what it is.
