I'm having some problems with my clutch. Starting about a month ago the clutch starting slipping when I slammed it into 2nd. When this happened, I checked the fluid in the MC and it was almost empty. I refilled it and it seemed to stop slipping but the clutch didn't have the feel that it used to and had about 1-2" of play at the top. I bled the system and this fixed it immediately. Now after only 2 days it is starting to get soft again on the pedal. The fluid is at about half but I cant find where it is leaking. Any ideas?? I have checked all the lines and the slave which is only about 6 months old because I replaced it. Clutch is a Exeedy Stage 2 with about 1 1/2 years on it. I know the clutch isn't bad because when it is bled and full of fluid it grabs hard. Any help is appreciated.

I guess I could try that again, but like I said it was replaced about 6 months ago right before the winter so I don't think it would go bad that fast. Atleast that would be a cheap and fast fix. Anyone else?

did you bleed the clutch after putting in new fluid? maybe you have a leak in one of your hard lines?

Yeah, it was after the new fluid. It really sucks because I can't see signs of leaking anywhere.

Well obviously it has a leak somewhere. Just keep looking. Maybe have someone pump the clutch while you look to try to expose the problem?

Either that or just keep the MC topped off. As long as it doesn't get low enough to suck in air it will still give a decent feel (unless the leak gets worse).

Is it leaking out of the back of the clutch m/c down the fire wall? thats the only thing I can think of if you checked all the lines and the slave is not leaking.

Check the floorboard under the clutch pedal, and under the rubber cover of the slave cylinder. The leak is there somewhere...

Yeah, I'm going to take a look under there today, finally have some free time. If this is the case and there is a leak down the firewall, I'm assuming that the Cluch MC is bad and needs to be replaced?? Thanks for the help guys I appreciate it

So after checking it out, that is most definately the problem. It's leaking right around where the shaft gets pushed in by the pedal. Picking up a new one tomorrow. Thanks for all the help
