Sorry about a nOOb question but here it goes, i jus got my blacktop put in my car today, and it wont go into gear when the car is started, but when off it will go into gear, my question is how hard is it to swap the clutch out?

Nothing changes when you start a car other than the flywheel moves. It should still go into gear.

well i was told that the pressure plate is stoping it from going into gear, i have a semi new spec 2 waiting to go in...

Crawl under the car and make sure the slave cylinder is pushing the fork all the way and isn't leaking.

well i hear it pushing all the way, could the slave really keep it from engaging?

Sorry so late hope you got your car fixed by now.

Yes the clutch not disengaging fully will/can cause your car not to go into gear. I have experienced this when A. I didn't bleed the clutch line all the way and it hadn't built pressure in the line and B. when the pedal is badly out of adjustment so that your clutch letout (feel) is at the very bottom of the pedal.

BTW what color is your car?

for the dead post, but the car is daytona blue, the same as bomexs car
