Ive searched this already but I couldnt find an answer to my particular problem.

I have a 240sx with the stock ka

So recently I switched out my master and slave cylinder with the ones from my parts car witch has signifcantly less miles on it because my master was bad. I adjusted the master cylinder so my clutchs grap point was around the center of the clutch. Now heres my problem. since then my grab point keeps changing and sometimes my clutch slips. its seems to be heat related. when my cars cold and when its very cold outside my gap point is only like an inch off the floor, after the car warms up or if the weather is slightly cold the grap point is in the middle of the pedal. when the weather gets somewhat warmer the grap point moves all the way to the top of the pedal and then sometimes it slipps. I dont think my clutch is bad because when the grap point is in the middle or the bottom it graps very hard. I used DOT 3 brake fluid for the hydro system.

Unless you have put on a bad part, I would just try bleeding it some more.

Since it varies across the complete travel, adjusting the push rod might backfire.

Ive tried bleeding it like 4 times now lol, I never get any air to come out only fluid. my only thought is that maybe this master is bad 2? but then why does it change with temp?

mine did the same thing adjust the master cylinder under the dash to where you have about a half inch of free travel on the clutch until clutch starts engaging.

its simple! all it requires is turning that long bolt until you got about half an inch of free travel in the clutch once i did it it stopped slipping.

My car does the exact same thing. It grabs HARD when it's cold, but after around 30-45 minutes of driving, the friction point gets very high, it sometimes starts to slip up a hill, especially when it's hot outside. Funny thing is, I never ever smelled that odour. Does the engaging point also change when you're driving up a hill, without stopping?

I know how to adjust the push rod on the master cylinder guys lol. My problem is that i get the grab point adjusted to a good spot and then it keeps changing.

My throw out bearing could cause my grab point to change?

Have you checked all the pivot points of the pedal? I noticed a similiar problem recently, but after I replaced the spring bushing the problem went away.

The plastic bushing was totally gone and the spring was sawing it's way through the pedal assembly. Also, have you removed the dampner yet? It's just one more hydraulic part to fail and is unnecassary.

Everything in the pedal assembly seems fine, I havent removed the dampener yet I was unsure of how it would feel and if i would like it for daily drivig. How would describe the diffrence?

Slightly reduced pedal travel, but hardly noticeable. Shouldn't have any affect on driveability.
