So I went to start my car today and the clutch just decided to stay on the floor. I pulled it back up with my hand and tried it again. Same thing happened. It will not shift into any gears. The car starts up fine though. I checked the fluid and there was none! I put some in and waited around. I pumped the clutch about 40 times, but no luck. What are the possible problems here? Thanks in advance!

The problem is that you have air in the lines, and possibly a leak since you ran out of fluid. There are two bleed points on the system. one under the car on the passenger side and one under the car on the slave cylinder. I suggest finding someone who knows what they are doing and having them help/show you how to bleed the system since it sounds like you have no idea on any of this stuff.

Thanks for your reply. I have my car at the shop now. Any idea on the price this will cost me to have them perform? Thanks again

My first guess is slave seal gone, master cylinder gave out or your pressure plate spring retainer is broken

The reservoir is full of fluid right?

Turns out it was the slave cylinder. Had to replace that and that ran $185 after installation and taxes. Then they realized the master cylinder was leaking. Another $260 for that. FML
