Well, I got back from vacation a week or so ago, and I got in the 240 to get it out of the garage where it spent 2 weeks without anyone to enjoy driving it, and when I went to start it up, the clutch just went to the floor . . . and stayed there. I could "pull" it back up with my foot, and after pumping it a few times, it was back to its normal self. There was no puddle on the floor (from a blown slave cylinder), nor were there any weird sounds coming from the car. Since then, it's been driving fine, but I leave for Virginia Tech next Wednesday, and I'll be bringing the car . . . I was wondering what you guys thought of this issue, and whether it would likely recur. My thought was maybe with 2 weeks without "exercise", it was a little tired, but who knows, heh . . . looking forward to hearing what everyone thinks.

That was a thought too . . . but if it's working OK now, is there still a need to do it? Could it just have been from the car sitting for a while?

uh, maybe you had an air bubble in the clutch line that took 2 weeks to get together. You could bleed the clutch line and watch for any bubbles, but it will take some time if you still have the dampening loop on the system.

I would do that first before replacing anything.

I had the same problem. It was the clutch fork pivot. Mine was broken in half so the clutch is basically useless. You can tell by going under the car and look on the right side of the transmission. You will see the fork. Move it around and use a flashlight to see if the pivot is broken or not. It's a little ball looking thingy that keeps the fork in place. If that's not it then it might be the linkage. It might broke in half also.
