I know this has been asked a dozen times but none of these problem solving steps seem to help me. I have a 1990 240sx i just replaced the clutch because to me it felt like it was slipping,(i.e. im goin down the road in high rpm's and it falls out of gear but the shifter stays in gear) i was told it was the clutch so about a week ago me and my bud put a new clutch in, she drove great, i broke it n nice a smoothly like i was told, now its poppin out again. tonight i got under the car to bleed the line and i come to find out that the boot that it supposed to be pushed by the slave cylinder doesn't come back to its original spot, meaning there is a gap between the boot and the metal rod on the slave cylinder. idk if its a spring in the clutch forck or if its the T/O. i remember takin the transmission off and the forck being rusted. Didn't think to replace it tho. Ne IDEAS????????

you can grease the pivot ball that the fork pivots on, that may help. if it is rusty, it may make more noise on the ball but some grease should take care of it.
