Thanks for the info Darrell. I'll use that in the future. It's really easy to find part for S12's. You can also get stuff from a 1984 Pulsar.

well i am only going to run the CA stock when i get it, so i really don't need a performance clutch. i only plan to have 225hp.

yes it does work, cause i did the install yesterday.it works (I work as a mechanic for a living)and i know it works, and also the pressure plate it only goes on one way,you can't just throw it on you will need to turn it until you match the right bolt holes and put the dowl pin in the right hole.the info i told my vender what i needed was a clutch kit for a ca18et thats from a 84 200sx turbo and N1ceDrgn was at my shop while i was installing the ca18det transmission to the ca18et clutch kit..

And just to emphasate it, the pressure plate will only go on one way. The first time I ever tried to change my clutch, I went to the parts store 3 times returning my clutch and getting a new one cuz "It didn't fit". Finally one of the older guys there said, "You do know that the pressure plate will only go one one way, right?" I was like, "Um... Yea, I knew that..."

wow, you're a mecanic? please, give me a moment to bow down and honor your almighty glory. sorry sir. please, beat me with a bamboo stick for not having your mass of knowledge. yes, i know know the pressure plate goes on one way. that doesn't actually apply to all cars though.

that was a little outta line don't you think ca18datsun510? He was simply making the statement that he had experience with cars, and that some people (like me when I was younger) weren't aware that the pressure plate will only mount to the flywheel one way. I know that he didn't mean any insult by it at all.

Spec makes clutches just for the RWD CA's.

Also... if anyone needs one. I am selling my Spec Stage 1 for a RWD CA. 285 to your door. Brand new in the box. I want a Stage 3, so the stage 1 has to go.

the reason i said i am a meachanic is because you were saying you worked at a parts store, well anyways forget it. no use of calling people names here. all's i wanted to do was to tell people here if they dont have the money to go out and buy a performance, and want the car to run already then they can go out and get a O.E.M stock aftermarket clutch kit or find a performance one to there budget like i did bought my clutch for $200 shipped

thats cool man, i apologize for getting out of line if i insulted you, i can honestly say that a 85-86 stanza with a ca20 does also fit, perhaps the clutch i had at my ****ty store was mislabled. there is a reason i dont work there anymore, the store sucked, and i was the only one there who actually works on cars. im not a mechanic, but in the last 2 years i have done quite a few motor swaps. gsr into ls integra, 2 350's into s10's, a 5.0 ranger pickup, jdm mazda v6 into a probe gt, ca into a datsun 510(still ongoing) soon putting an sr into my 240...not to mention just replacing stock motors and transmission in friends cars and i cant forget about the yamaha 750 street bike motor into the yamaha blaster

Yea, SPEC has a listing at specclutches.com of the specifications and last I checked, Enjuku had them in stock.

I also have a CA18 4-puck unsprung disk laying around if anybody wants to take it off my hands.

What can you offer for some ~270HP ? Don't think I'll make much more in the nearest future...
