Sounds like a bad seal. You're due for either a master cylinder rebuild or a new one. I've never done a rebuild so I don't know how hard it is though. For now just make sure you have enough fluid in the reservior until you can get it fixed.

It's best to replace the master cylinder because the bore can get pits and scratches and if honed out to far the cup seals won't seal. It is also a good idea to replace the slave at the same time because the dirt is pumped to the slave and damages the seals in the slave. The slave is a little more forgiving because it is steel not aluminum as the master. The slave cyl. can be more successfully rebuilt. You will have to bleed the air out and this can be difficult at times.

If you are unsure about it take it to a good shop. Ask around as to were friends take their cars for repairs.

Ive had the same problem with nissan 240 .:( The leak is from the master cylinder. And the is a small rod going from the inside of the car that is hooked to the clutch peddle. And goes in to the back of the cylender and that seal is out. i bought a seal kit for it and replaced the seals in the cylender. Its very easy to fix only two little seals to replace. And when you put it in the cylender and insert the rod from the clutch peddle there is an ajustment there for the rod. It will allow you to adjust where you want your clutch to take hold. OH and the kit is under 10 dollars. :ylsuper
