I was wondering if the KA24E or DE fan shroud will work with the CA clutch fan?

Thanks

wouldnt push your luck. if its mis-balanced things could be bad.

Tim, he said the fan shroud. Read it again man. In answer to the question though, I don't think so. The KA one seems to be more centered on the radiator but the CA seems to be off to one side more. Thats just from memory though and it might line up perfectly.

no KA or SR shroud will work... gotta find a CA one. the others are aligned differently. I bought an SR one hoping they were the same, but NOPE. Might try finding an s12 fan shroud... the one on my CA20E powered s12 looks like it would work on my s13 a CA18ET (s12) shroud would probably work as well!

YES IT WILL. I use a E fan shroud and my temps range from 78-90max *C. It could line up a little better, but it's already a very close fit. No worries. I don't know about the DE shroud, but it should work as well.

LOL, I still love ya Tim. If you didn't mess up every now and then I wouldn't have any reason to stick around here! I hurt you because I love you! Hehehe

what? are you sure? the twin cam KA shroud I had was so far from working, there was no way it would fit in there with the CA and fan. I'm talking like 6 inches off center. I can't see how a single cam KA would be any different from the twin cam one I had (as far as location in the engine bay)...

I don't know man, maybe yours was backwards or somthing. All I know is I use the E fan shroud and it cools like a mother. I'll take a picture tomorrow...if I remember.

Here are the pictures I promised. Again, this is a KA-E shroud.

Yeah, the bottom of the shroud is missing a plastic piece. I have it, but while it popped off partly and I was too lazy to put it back on. It cools plenty well without it. Also, I didn't bother to put on the side pieces. Still, I have no cooling issues. I drove the car with no shroud, and man, I would have to put a light load on it, then coast, just to keep the temps under 90.

I mentioned in another thread that I am using a KA-E alternator. This isn't quite as compatible...I had to bend the adjustment bolt piece. No, I'm not proud of it, but my CA alternator is at a shop getting repaired as we speak, so I'll be de-ghettoizing my car. Here's the picture.
