I am soon to buy an sr20det redtop. I have an s13 and one of my friend is telling me i should just keep the stock clutch fan. And others are saying i should go with aftermarket electric ones. Well on Heavythrottle.com they have the dual permacool fans that pump about 3000 cfm. How many cfm's does the stock clutch fan blow? I have a koyo copper radiator too. remember i am trying to save money. Im not rich... although i wish i was

if u dont have money then stick with stock. it'll be sufficient. the clutch fan is the same if not better than most electric fans anyway.

if u want to get electric fans try some 95 altima fans. they're probably one of the better stock electric fans out there that you can get at the junk yard. needs a bit of trimming on the sides but should mount in place.

i have a FMIC and stock clutch fan with KA radiator, no fan shroud, and im in CA bay area. The highest my temp has gone is 160F but most of the time it's at 140F

u only want ur AC fan to turn on at low speeds...its best to wire it to a switch...speeds usually above 55mph...MOST (not all) electric fans become redundant and begin to actually hinder the amount of air entering your radiator...the clutch fan is one of the best cooling options out there...most of the pros i know personally out of cali (charlie o...ernie fixmar...ken gushi...etc etc) still run their stock clutch fans....simple fact is they move more than enough air and dont become a hinderance at higher speeds

yessss

even though you lose a bit of horsepower, it's more than sufficient for most needs.
