Clutch fan locked up

Today, my clutch fan locked up. It was awesome and bad at the same time. Had no topend power. But it was funny that my car sounded like a semi accelerating. Ever hear that big fan spin at 6500 rpm? Its is ungodly loud.

take it off NOW!!!when that thing breakes you will have these probs;power steering hose damage 180 each newwater pump damage 30 newradiator shroud damage 25 jyelectric fan housing.that wire which conects to the distribuitor could get damaged. (not the spark plug wires dorks)other bits and pieces will gey messed up to.most of all THE HOOD. i got 2 upsidedown dimples right in the middle of the hood

it happend to me 6 monts ago and still haven't fixed everything!!!!

omg just thinkind about it makes me pissed those lil plastic fan blades can't handle the forcesof the engine

don't worry, i just got a new (used) clutch fan off my friend's SOHC so everything's fine now.

wow you guys actually paid 180 for the hose? i only paid about 125 or so at a dealer

I say get rid of it too, I took off my Clutch Fan and my god, talk about a lack of resistance on the launch, it looks cleaner and sounds better.

Helll no i didn't get it when i saw the price. i just havent got it to the hose shop yet.
