Clutch/Engine Light

I just want to know if my clutch is out? Today, when i started the car, it is really hard for me to get into gear. Literally i have to force it into first and reverse.When I'm also in reverse, the car just moves by itself with the clutch all the way in. I didn't drive it for a while until night, i took it out for a spin still struggling to put it into gear, i drove it around the block. After 5 minute of around the block, i turn off the car for a while then restarted it and all the gears works perfectly now?

Also my check engine light keeps comming on and off. Last time i checked it for a code, it gave me 55 which was everything normal and okay. But this time, everytime i drive the light keeps comming on and off, and even while its idling.The light just comes on and off. Could it be a bad sensor? How can i solve this problem?
