I have installed a act heavy duty pressure plate and street disc. 98 240sxMy problem is that my engagement keeps acting up the engagement point keeps getting higher and higher its at the point where i just have to use the tip of my toe to engage it. It feels like i can never get use to the way it engages because of it constantly changing. I bled it at the slave cylinder and at the mc but with no luck. I read in other posts that people where having the same problem but they never say what fixed it. So if anyone knows how to fix this problem then i would like to hear what they did. I dont want to go out and buy all these parts that i dont need and waste money. I also adjusted the pedal. any help would be appreciated

you have to bleed the clutch at the master cylinder (i think. or is it the slave cylinder?) and at the clutch dampener. and bleed those two back and forth. or you can bypass the dampener all together. keep searching, you'll find the threads.

You bleed it at the slave cylinder.

I bled at the slave and master cyl. I guess I should try the dampner. In the manual it says clutch piping connnector is that what you mean by dampener?

Try adjusting the pedal play. Get down under the pedals and you'll see what I mean.

I got the clutch bled at the shop with no luck it is exactly the same as it use to be. Maybe I just have to get use to the pedal being like that.

Hey man,

I aprreciated the 300zx brake link you left me(under my other name S14 Jordan that's on my work computer), that was EXACTLY what I needed, thanks.

Regrding the bleeding of your clutch, the procedure is as follows-

(monitor brake fluid level @ clutch m/c-obviously)Connect transparent tube to air bleeder valve on the clutch operating cylinder(slave cyl).Fully depress clutch several times. With pedal depressed, open bleeder valve to release air, then close valve.Repeat those steps until brake fluid flows from bleeder valve w/out air bubbles.

I assume did that? But you made no mention of the next step.

Now release air from the bleeder valve at the CLUTCH PIPING CONNECTOR using same procedure as listed above.Repeat procedures until desired feel returns.

IF APPLICABLE-When replacing your clutch tube, install the new one parallel to your under body floor panel. If you don't, bleeding might be a beatch.

I hope this can help, I think this post might be a bit old so maybe you already did this. But when I saw you made a post I wanted to help you since you helped me with my z32 Q.

PS- I'd try that before adjusting your pedal. Also read my clutch linkage post in 240tech, you might want to reinforce the part I mention w/ an upgraded clutch.
