I have the 90 240SX and was working on my clutch and saw the clutch damper. I can't find any info on how it works or what exactly it does so if anyone knows I would appreciate an explaination!

nothing really important, you can remove it as it is a pita to bleed and can just lead to more problems if you leave it on

It "dampens" the clutch hydraulic system, so there is less vibration and noise from the clutch itself.

Some people have removed it as it's much easier to bleed the system without it, also the feel of the clutch is more direct without the damper.

it also tends to have a negative effect if you have an aftermarket clutch
