OKay guys, I was trying to get rid of my damper, when one of my nuts stripped. I had so much trouble trying to take it out. This nut is the one that master clutch brings down and connects it to the damper. So I finally got it to break loose. Then I bend the hose to make it angle towards the line that lead to the slave cylinder. The problem is the nut got so stripped by the time I was done with it, that you can't tell the difference between the threads and the nut! So I tried it on, but it would only go to a certain point. The line was not in all the way, then I asked my friend to go and press the clutch. She pressed it and said it wouldn't come back up. I know I messed up big time here, but I was so frustrated. Then it starts to leak and the clutch doesnt come back up. Im thinking I have to buy a new line. After that, what kind of bleeding should I do? The clutch only comes up when I pull it and it has no feedback when pressing it after the initial pressure, it just drops to the floor.

You can buy a tool that creates a flare on hardline from Autozone and NAPA sells flare nuts. You can cut, replace the nut and make a new flare. If it's short, you can use a stainless steel braided line or whatever. No biggie, so don't panic.

That's the tool. It's 10mm flare nut. Cut the line with Dremel w/ cutting wheel and take the nut to NAPA with you, so you can match it up.

Bleeding is easy. Ask some to pump the pedal and tighten the bleed screw when soild stream of clutch fluid comes out. Do it several times to remove the air in the system and that's about it.

okay,I got the tool part down. Now is bleeding going be easy after I tighten the nut? because I tried it when the nut wasn't tightened so is that the reason why the pedal would just drop and not return(not bleed)?

okay i got the nut on there. The thing is I have a feeling that my slave cylinder is leaking. The clutch feels no different and I bled many times. I didnt let the fluid go empty, I filled up after three bleeding points. It feels very soft still. Maybe the spring? I have no idea what the problem is because I'm pretty sure I got all the air out of the system. I feel as if it did nothing...

How old is the slave cylinder? If the pedal feels soft, just keep bleeding the system. I also deleted the damper and it still took awhile to get nice and stiff. If you still don't like the stiffness of the pedal. You can get a steel braided line, I have one and love it.

The slave cylinder is probably as old as the car. It squeaks when I press the clutch. Its pretty loud. It was kind of wet before I started to bleed it but it was not new fluid. Also, my clutch pedal is not functioning right. It doesn't follow my foot when I let go of it and deosnt come back all the way. I was thinking I had to replace the pedal and the slave cylinder, but I don't know. I bled it atleast 15 times. should I do more?
