Hi, I just bought a '95 240sx with 77k miles and I figure its time for me to buy a new clutch.

I was wondering what clutch everyone runs and if you guys have any recommendations or comments?I was considering Exedy, ACT, or ClutchMasters.

Thanks :)

Maybe a Stage 3 but its a bit expensive. . .

The most common clutch kit is ACT, they have a very good reputation. I haven't heard to great things about centerforce. I've heard good things about both clutchmaster's and SPEC clutches. Personally, I'm going for the SPEC stage 2, only 258 at enjuku.

I dont have the time today to re-iderate my displeasure, dislike, and the amounts of bad experiences i have heard about the SPEC clutches, but they can be found with the search function here, and on http://www.freshalloy.com....

ACT is prob the most popular brand of clutch, do to its reputation for quality, and affordable price.

Centerforce are popular for the same, although i have only had bad personal experiences with them numerous times, as have some of my friends, so i dont recommend them, but i do know people who live by them and only have good results.

Clutchmasters are very good quality, but very expensive, so i'll stop there : )

RPS make great clutches

Clutch specialties make great Iron Clutches

I'd look into what some people have to say, and see some of the negative feedback on the visual poor quality of the spec clutches, as well as the short life, and bad experiences people are having with them, i dont want to tell you what to get, but i dont think that there is ever any negativity surrounding the ACT products.

We sell centerforce and act clutches for the 240 http://www.rollhard.com , can also get the iron clutches, but thats more of a track/race clutch.

Zero problems with my Centerforce Stage II. But like he says, its personal preference most of the time. :)

I have a Centerforce stage one and it has been great for me. Cheaper than an OEM clutch.

On my last car I had a Clutchmasters Stage III. If you are keeping and tuning your engine get that clutch. Grabs hard as hell, chirped 3rd hard in my ragged 85zxt.

More like displeasure every time someone buys a SPEC because you don't carry it on your site.

Hahah, j/k.

Thanks guys for your input. I think I'll go with an ACT street clutch. Anyone know where I can find a place that sells them for less than 300$?
