clutch chatter???

sooo i think i finally figured this out, i believe the horrible vibrations i feel when in 1st or backing up is clutch chatter?? which is new term to me.. i drove the car and once out of first the car drives fine, soo pretty much im trying to figure out what is causing this, or if there is a solution.. thnaks alot

What kind of clutch is it? Clutch chatter is like a jerking/hard vibration feeling in the driveline when the clutch is engaging.

hey sorry i forgot to post what clutch i had, its a spec stage 3 with there steel flywheel. and thats how id describe it, it feels like the front half of my car is gunna fall off, and its only when engagin clutch underin like 2k in 1st or reverse, is there any solution/ resolution... thanks for the info

really cuz ive had other 6 pucks like on my old crx, and my dads s2k has a 6puck act, and it doesnt chatter this bad, i mean its insane. but i guess ill cope with it. thanks again for the info. kinda bummed i cant do anything about it

IF its unsprung that would cause excessive chatter. Also Stage 3 means a nasty pressure plate which would also cause the chatter. I get some chatter with a Stock Pressure plate with a 6 puck.
