I just got a Exedy Stage 2 3-puck clutch. The instructions said to allow 750 miles for it to break in. Will I be able to notice a difference after the clutch has broke in or are there any common things that'll happen while a clutch is getting broke in? I've only got 10 miles on the clutch right now and it's running good I just want to know if there should be anything to expect while it breaks in so that I dont freak out and think somethings wrong when in fact it's normal. (I love run on sentences)

I have a OEM replacement (previous owner put it in 50miles before I bought it) and the pedal hieght came up and it got more smooth (less abrupt) grab feel too it after 400 miles.

I had to readjust the pedal a couple of times to compensate. 4000 miles later and it still act the same as it did after it settled at 400 miles.

Really depends on the clutch. I put a stage 1 exedy in my S13 and it said go for 750 miles before going hard on it.

u might "glaze" the lining, just like you do w/ brake pads if you don't "bed da linings" properly...

that's my common-cents thinking

You suppose to break in brakes as well? I guess going drag racing that night wasn't such a good idea....

Yes you are, but it doesn't take as long as breaking-in the clutch:http://www.zeckhausen.com/bedding_in_brakes.htm

LoL. Don't u just hate that! during the break in period u want to shift it at different RPM ranges (softly). After the 500-750mile mark is past. Have fun CHirp'N!! LoL.

I'm breaking in my new stage 3/ 4 paddle ceramic right now. Truth is I couldn't resist. I've gotten on it a couple times now and I'm only up to about 200 miles...

My mechanic told me that as long as I dont absolutly lay into it (double clutching and what not) that I would be fine. Is he right or should I start keeping it under 3500.

Keep it under 3500. When u start getting up to 350-400miles i heard u should start shifting higher, like at 4000 etc. (Note: ur doing this softly) give ur clutch a variety of different RPMs...

I have had new pucked clutches slip before its basically like overheating a broke in pucked clutch. It will take away from the life of the clutch and its max capabilites and proling the break in time. By the way I'm hard on clutches and transmissions.
