having severe trouble bleeding my clutch in my 92 hatchback have new slave cylinder and master cylinders installed as well but as soon as we start to feel tension in the pedal again while pumping the clutch pedal if we stop hold it down and bleed it out and go to pump again all pressure is lost in the system and even when we dont crack the line to bleed it just stopping seems like we lose pressure in the system again . hasd anyone had a nightmare like this happen this is the third day of trying to bleed the system ??

Yup those slaves are a Biotch to bleed. Take the slave off the trans leave the line hooked up tho. You gotta bleed it by hand first get it pumping all the way out then re-install it on the trans fork. The fork pressure will not allow it to get enough fluid in it to start bleeding, Thats why you gotta take it off. Takes about an hour of torture!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not really, you can bleed it while the slave is instaled just by pumping but it takes some time.

Try,

1. Having another person under the car ready to open and close the valve2. Build up pressure by stepping on the clutch a few times until it is stiff3. Now, Push very hard on the clutch, (your buddy now opens the valve and when the clutch pedal reaches the ground tell him "Close it!".

You have to keep doing this and Keep Refilling the Resevoir~~~~~

NOTE: If this is A brand NEW Clutch Cylinder:::: YOU Are RECOMMENDED to bleed it Manually with your HANDS on a table VISE.

I have did this before for hours and got no were. Sometimes it works, Most time it dont. If you take it off the transmission and bench bleed it with someone helping you it only takes about 30 mins to complete.

IM sure he had a buddy helping, Its nearly impossible by yourself.

Well, yeah,

I can't see why it's not bleeding and holding pressure. Maybe there could be a small leak.

I am sure the Flare fittings or something is leaking.

Or it might even be a bad New Cylinder~
