clutch bleeder box necessary???

just a quick question about the 5-speed swap, is the clutch bleeder box necessary for the swap.

Well, as far as I know, it is necessary unless you go with a SS braided line that goes to the slave cylinder. The SS line will compensate for the increased pressure in the line if the box is removed. Nissan didn't put it there to just add weight or to just bolt on a piece of junk that they didn't want to dispose of on their own... there was a reason...

you wont need the box but you will need to bypass the box which will also give you better feel on the clucth from what i have heard

No you don't "need" it but it makes the pedal feel softer. thats all. If you want one I swapped mine onto the vert but I'm sick of having to bleed it so I'm gonna be taking it off when I do my clutch job. Its yours for the price of shipping or whatever.d

thanks for the offer and I appreciate all the advice, but I think since it's not really necessary I'll go without it, just curious though, did any of you who have done a 5spd swap to a vert put it on?

I did the swap and put it in... like I said, it was put there for a reason...

I did the swap and put it on just cause I had it. but I'm taking it off. it doesn't do anything but make your pedal softer.
