Whats up fellas,
I'm sure this topic has come up a 100 times but I never found a solid answer that I liked, so I decided to ask it again.
I just bought a 93 240 that has a great body and a Ka24de (which I am going to stick with) but had a blown head gasket and a hole in the radiator to explain it. While I had it tore down to change the head gasket I decided to add some rods, pistons, and a few other goodies to prepare me for a turbo in the future.
I'm not going to say I am doing a budget build, but at the same time I am working for everything I buy so I don't want to waste any money I don't need to.
I have decided on the manley turbo tuff rods, but I would like some help picking out pistons and a clutch. Are JE's considered among the best? or CP's, Wiseco's or Eagles (haha). I would like to have a motor that can handle up to 600+ hp someday, reliably. I liked the Wiseco 1400 HD's but they do not make them for the ka24de. So what should I use. And keep in mind I will probably not actually ever go past 450-500 realistically. And also what clutches should I be looking at? Centerforce, Exedy, 6-Puck, 5-Puck, stage 1, 2, 3, What? Thanks in advance for any responses!!
