You can also use a RWD flywheel and clutch in the FWD setup, you will need a RWD starter motor to make it all work. Just giving you a heads up as there are more options available in RWD format.

are you sure, the flywheel that came with my ca18det was thicker and did not fit into my gearbox. I had to use my existing flywheel. I did have a fwd U11 version though. Also I do know that SPEC clutch in the US makes a stage 2 and 3 clutch for the ca18de.

I thought you were reading the other thread????

Clutchhouse in Florida

Clutchnet in California

Both make good clutches for FWD CA18DE setups.

Oh wow.

Killer deal time.

I have in my hot hands, a FWD CA18DET Clutch, custom made by ACT, but my question to you, is the trans spline the same for fwd and rwd? If so you are in business.

I had this made while I was playing around with RWD clutch setups (i had fwd flywheel for a hot second).

I also have a personal relationship with ClutchNet, they are right down the street from us.

Check out site. Http://www.rpsport.net

anyways.... if you think the ca18 fwd/rwd spline is the same.

$50 shipped in the 48 states. This thing cost me twice as much when i had it made. It is brand new.

Above is the ACT disc I was speaking of, a ClutchNet SR20DET FWD Disc I picked up today, and a FOB CA18DET RWD Disc. Not really trying to put you guys on blast, I have just been lurking, and see no love for the CA, as well I am super tight w/clutchnet (can you say sponsor ship.)

I also have former ties with ACT. ::Blah blah::

Hmm, that unsprung ACT disc is for extreme duties and is not a good disc for everyday use however, it will suit track duties. $50 shipped, I'll take it. Please confirm and give me a paypal address.

jongriff, since u deal with them on a personal basis. did u read my post about the exact thing? Im pretty sure im going with the yellow grade ca18de stuff in my fwd det. That should hold up to 300hp (my goal being 250hp) right?

Boost boy gave a vote of confidince in the kevlar stuff, and within 2 or 3 weeks im buying the yellow setup. Just after another opion in addition to nismoplsr.

Boost Boy, If you are SURE that the FWD and RWD trans spline (the center) is the same, yeah pick this up.

PayPal= [email protected]

When you send payment, in the notes, write a clear description of what you are purchasing, we use the payment as a invoice an packing slip.

The kevlar disc is amazing, I rock one in my DD SOHC and it is awesome. I get a little tiny bit of chatter, but nothing close to a puck.

Clutchnet really shines on their pressure plates. They have a VERY VERY good understanding of diaphragm design and hardening, which is the reason we swear by them now.

Thanks for the clutch and the extra fast shipping! I have to have the nose machined down some, but it's no biggie.

Awesome, it is good to hear you are happy with it. The nose protrudes out too much?

Probably not, since I do have kevlar disk here to compare. It sticks out because it doesn't have a sprung hub, so it looks funny. I don't think it's a problem, so I may not even bother with having it checked.
