i have a 1993 vert and just picked up a head up display cluster from a 89 sohc just wondering if it was interchangeable... i know that the digital one that i picked up is prone to breaking or not working correctly but i really want one and just wanted to know if it will work. i have search for answers already but seems that i cant find a yes or no answer. so far ive read that swaping clusters have to be for the right motor u have and that the sohc cluster is smaller that the dohc..still dont get y it wont work they both readline at 8 Any help is appreciated thanks u guys

The speed will work, the tach won't be right, simple as that. You need to either buy a DOHC digital tach or get the SOHC one recalibrated. Also, have fun when the speedo craps out on you, they costs like 270 bucks from Nissan.

Same happened to me. I have mine laying around the house somewhere and the tach didn't work but the speed and everything else did. So I decided not to use it.

i've been working on a cluster swap for a while now. most of my time has been spent waiting for a good sub-harness. now that i have one, i haven't taken the time to do the swap.

there was a website for a guy who rebuilds the HUD units for a really great price... i can't remember where it is though. if i find it i'll pass the info along.
