Cluster swap 2002 SE-R into 2001 GXE

Hey;I am wondering if anyone has completed this swap, I just put a 2002 se-r cluster in my 2001 gxe and the only problem I am having is the temp gauge in the se-r cluster uses the ECU signal and the GXE goes striaght to the sensor has anyone tried to bypass this if so did it work? I am going ot try tommorow but input is always appriciated.
